THE GOAL OF THE PROJECT
Bodrum American Hospital, which aims to increase awareness of environmental cleanliness and leave a more livable coast and environment to future generations with the "Coastal Cleaning" project, aims to leave a clean environment and this awareness to future generations by carrying out a comprehensive cleaning of both sea and land and creating awareness with the DenizTemiz Association / TURMEPA.
THE SUBJECT OF THE PROJECT
The "Coastal Cleaning" project was launched in 2019 to clean the foreshore area in Kınalıada in cooperation with DenizTemiz Association / TURMEPA. In order to leave a cleaner world to future generations, the American Hospital, Koç University Hospital, American Medical Center and Bodrum American Hospital went to Kınalıada with volunteer employees and carried out coastal cleaning throughout the day to carry out environmentally friendly practices.
On June 5, 2021, "World Environment Day", in cooperation with IMEAK Chamber of Shipping Bodrum Branch, DenizTemiz Association/TURMEPA Bodrum Branch and Milta Bodrum Marina, the protection of clean coasts and seas was made a national priority and work was initiated to clean the Bitez Island Bosphorus. Bodrum American Hospital employees raised awareness in Bitez Island Bosphorus by carrying out a comprehensive cleaning from both sea and land together with the project stakeholders.

WHAT RESULT DID THE PROJECT GIVE? / WHAT DID HE ACHIEVE?
As a result of the "Coastal Cleaning" project, it contributed to the protection of clean seas by cleaning the garbage in areas close to the sea. As a result of the coastal cleaning, awareness has been created regarding future generations' access to a clean environment and water, and the habitats of animals in the region have become cleaner, while the negative effects of this situation on the lives of marine creatures have been eliminated.
