Professor Öktenoğlu was neurosurgery resident from 1992 to 1997 and during this period he also completed 4-year courses organized by European Association of Neurosurgical Societies .
Studied Gamma Knife at Karolinska Institute, Sweden in 1996.
Studied biomechanics of spine in New Mexico University, U.S.A. from 1997 to 1999.
Principal fields of clinical interest:
- Spine surgery,
- Neurooncology,
- Neurotrauma.
