OUR DOCTORS Prof. Piraye Oflazer, M.D. Neurology REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT Professor Oflazer studied Muscle Pathology under supervision of Prof. W. King Engel and Prof. V. Askanas in the field of Neuromuscular Diseases in Southern California University in 1990-1991. Became Faculty Member in Division of Neuromuscular Diseases at Department of Neurology in School of Medicine, Istanbul University and served as director of the division for three periods. Founded the Muscle Pathology Unit in the Neuromuscular Diseases Research Laboratory, conducted studies and directed the laboratory until 2014. Chaired World and European Alliance of Neuromuscular Disorders Associations for two periods. Member of World Alliance of Neuromuscular Disorders Associations and Mediterranean Society of Myology.
