Our Clinical Laboratory at the American hospital was founded to meet the needs of our patients who are treated in inpatient and outpatient capacities and the requirements of contracted institutions, which benefit from our laboratory services, in line with basic medical, administrative and quality policies. All biochemistry, immunology, hematology, microbiology, serology and emergency laboratory services that are necessary for clinical diagnosis and supervision of the treatment processes are provided in a timely, accurate and reliable manner.

All studies are planned to meet the following purposes: detection of diseases or predisposition to diseases, providing help to verify or rule out a diagnosis, making predictions regarding the duration and course of certain diseases and monitoring the efficiency of treatments.

The safety and expectations of our patients are fully acknowledged from the sampling phase to the use of results. We comprehensively fulfill the provisions of national and international service and management standards.

All laboratory tests that are necessary for diagnosis, treatment and patient evaluation are analyzed at the Clinical Laboratory with state-of-the-art devices by experienced technicians, who are continuously supported with up-to-date training, surrounded by a carefully designed physical environment and supervised by vigilant administrative staff.

The expectations and rights of our patients are fully recognized at each step of service delivery.

The performance of devices and materials used for test analysis in our laboratory are reviewed at each phase of the processes. Internal and external quality control systems from countries such as United States of America (CAP; College of American Pathologists), the UK (Bio-Rad) and Austria (ÖQUASTA; Österreichische Gesellschaft für Qualitätssicherung und Standardisierung medizinisch-diagnostischer Untersuchungen/Austrian Association for Quality Assurance and Standardization of Medical and Diagnostic Tests) are followed along with the laboratory-specific control methods when producing reviews, results are certifications.

‘Accessibility’ for patients is an extremely important objective along with the overall quality and safety of our service. Istanbul’s gradually worsening traffic problem increases the value of time necessary to effectively bring essential health services to patients. Therefore, “sampling at home” services are effectively performed by a team formed in our laboratory, providing a convenient service that is often requested by doctors and patients alike.
