GENERAL SURGERY

Surgeons of the General Surgery Department of the American Medical Center continue to provide examination, advanced tests and outpatient surgery services that they have been providing in outpatient clinic conditions since 1997, with the introduction of the latest technological facilities, especially the new operating room and imaging services in our new Medical Center.

In our two operating rooms equipped with the latest technology, outpatient surgeries such as open inguinal or umbilical hernias, anal fissures, abscesses, polyps, hemorrhoid removal, ingrown hair, breast mass removal, breast biopsy, sebaceous cyst and lipoma removal, nail extraction, mole removal, abscess drainage, suturing of traumatic skin incisions, chronic wound care, and burn dressings can be performed under sterile conditions under general, sedation+local, or local anesthesia only.
 
In addition, laparoscopic hernia, laparoscopic gallbladder, laparoscopic appendicitis, thyroid, breast, stomach, colon and anal surgeries, which are related to all general surgery and require hospitalization, continue to be performed successfully by our team at the American Hospital and Koç University Hospital.
