  • During his fellowship on Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Arrhythmia Surgery in the U.K., he worked under the supervision of Leslie Hamilton, B. Sethia ve Colin J. Hilton.
  • Professor Barlas carried out the first arrhythmia operation in Turkey.
  • Founded and administrated Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery Department of German Hospital.
  • Studied modern diagnosis and treatments of venous diseases in various centers of Europe.
  • Studied diagnosis and treatments of varicose veins in Morrison Vein Institute, the U.S., and New York University jointly by Nick Morrison, BB Lee, Lowell Kabnick and Todd Berland.
  • Focused on treatment of varicose veins after 2008. He ensured that American Hospital and MedAmerican Medical Center are regarded among the most busiest and successful centers of Turkey in this field.
  • He received specialization in pediatric cardiovascular surgery minor in 2011.
  • Professor Barlas works in following associations;
