At our Endoscopy unit which is continuously renewed and updated, these following procedures that require high-level training are carried out: EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, a procedure performed by doctors to examine the lining of the esophagus (swallowing tube), stomach, and upper part of the small intestine (duodenum), colonoscopy, as well as capsule endoscopy, balloon dilatation and stent placement intestinal strictures, ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, a technique to diagnose and treat certain problems of the biliary or pancreatic ductal systems), EUS (endoscopic ultrasound is used to explore the digestive tract and nearby organs and tissues, to sample -biopsy- fluid and tissue from the abdomen or chest for analysis, as well as to determine cancer advancement and endoscopic submucosal dissection.

Patients admitted to our department suffer from issues concerning the digestive system organs, starting from the esophagus including the stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas as well as the gallbladder. These complaints include, but are not limited to swallowing difficulty, feeling of obstruction while swallowing, stomach aches and abdominal pain, heartburn and gastric discomfort, vomiting, constipation, and distension.
