Diagnosis and treatment services are provided in our Emergency Department for patients who are admitted without an appointment or transferred with an ambulance due to the requirement of emergency medical care by the healthcare personnel who specialize in Emergency Department. 30.000 patients are cared for and treated in our department annually. The Emergency Department of the American Hospital is located at the entrance floor of our hospital for quick and easy access and it contains a total of 15 examination and observation rooms, including one triage room, with a nurse desk placed at the central part of the department. Bedside monitors are present in every examination and observation room making it possible to view monitors that are located in 11 rooms. The triage room and one of the examination and observation rooms are also used as negative pressure isolation rooms against the risk of infection. The orthopedic intervention room, surgical procedure room, and gynecology/obstetrics rooms are also available in the Emergency Department in order to provide patients with specialized services. These rooms are custom designed and furnished with the very latest specialized equipment. The trauma and resuscitation room where there are two stretchers, is the most vital part of the Emergency Department; this section is where patients who suffer from severe trauma, shock or cardiac arrest are admitted. All medical devices necessary for a quick and comprehensive intervention (surgical lighting, emergency crash carts, defibrillators, and respiratory support equipment) are always kept in a ready state.

Services are rendered round the clock by a team of 5 primary care physicians, 4 Emergency specialists and 32 nurses as well as Emergency technicians, including 1 clinical supervisor and 2 Inpatient Clinic Managers, under the supervision of the experienced General Surgeon. Our physicians from all medical departments of American Hospital quickly arrive at our hospital facility when they are called for an emergency. Patient rights and confidentiality are always prioritized while our team renders Emergency.

A conventional radiology and ultrasound room is present in our Emergency Department. MRI and Computerized tomography areas are located just near the Emergency Room. Unlike many hospitals; MRI, CT, and ultrasound can be scanned and reviewed by radiologists round the clock at the American Hospital. Moreover, laboratory tests are reported not later than 45 minutes for differential diagnosis of patients with serious risks, such as heart attack and pulmonary embolism. The ability to perform these advanced tests at night and during holidays is a great convenience for both Emergency physicians and consultant doctors regarding early diagnosis which could be life-saving for our patients. The Emergency Department of the American Hospital also has the ability to triple the capacity of place, personnel, and equipment in extraordinary situations such as natural disasters and mass injuries, as an integral part of the hospital's disaster plan. Briefly, we provide top-tier Emergency services with experienced and professional personnel, who use cutting edge medical devices, to respond to all requirements in American Hospital.
