Prof. Birsen Çetin, M.D. Infectious Diseases After she passed the first series of the central chief exam coordinated by Higher Education Board of Türkiye in 1998, she was appointed as Deputy Chief of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Clinic at Şişli Etfal Teaching and Research Hospital. She undertook administrative and scientific tasks at Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Clinic. She started working at American Hospital as Head of the Deparment in 2001. She was awarded the title “Associate Professor” in 2006 and “Professor” in 2013. She managed the Infection Prevention and Control Process as Head of the Infection Control Committee for JCI Accreditation at American Hospital and VKV Italian Hospital. She got her Master’s Degree in the field of Health Legislation at İstanbul Medipol University in 2016.
