Prof. Şule Korkmaz, M.D. Cardiology As an Interventional Cardiologist, she has performed thousands of Coronary Angiography, Cardiac Catheterization and Stent procedures. She has also performed numerous Mitral Balloon and Pulmonary Balloon Valvuloplasty, Permanent Pacemaker and Coil Embolization procedures. She performed the Coronary Laser Angioplasty and Heart Muscle Biopsy procedures for the first time in Türkiye. She has served as a panelist, lecturer, discussant and session chair in various International and National Congresses and meetings, including the Session Chair at the European Cardiology Congress. In 1997 , she was a member of the T.R. Supreme Health Council of the Ministry of Health. She has published 161 international and 106 national publications. She has 43 international and 106 national presentations. Currently, her h-index is 31 (number of citations is 3372) and she is ranked 116th among Turkish Women in Science with the highest h-index in all branches in the world.
