Alp Aslan Eryılmaz, M.D.

Alp Arslan Eryılmaz, M.D., authored his dissertation titled " detection of stenosis of renal artery in patients with refractory hypertension that cannot be regulated with medications and benefits of balloon dilatation and stent implantation for these stenosis" in his residency education.
He was a member of the surgery team that performed transcatheter replacement of the stenotic aortic valve for the first time in Turkey.
Again, he took a role in the "mitraclip" operation – repair of the mitral valve with a clip – carried out for the first time in Turkey.
Member of interventional cardiology team at Cardiac Catheterization and Angiography Laboratory of American Hospital that works round the clock.

Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Diagnosis and treatment of diseases secondary to atherosclerosis that is caused by hypertension, diabetes mellitus and hypercholesterolemia,
- Balloon dilatation of vascular stenosis and stent implantation,
- Correction of rhythm disorders by using pacemaker,
- Treatment and referral of patients with hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and diabetes mellitus and patients at high risk for heart diseases.
