The diagnosis and treatment of Respiratory System Diseases such as Lung cancer, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Emphysema, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, Allergy and Asthma are carried out at the Pulmonology Medicine Department of American Medical Center with the most advanced and up-to-date methods.

Examinations performed in the Pulmonology Medicine Department:
  • "Respiratory Function Tests" used in the diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), evaluation of the results of treatment and the diagnosis of asthma,
  • "Allergy Skin Test / Prick test" used in the diagnosis of asthma and allergic rhinitis
  • Blood tests used in the diagnosis of allergic diseases (Total lgE, ECP (eosinophils cationic protein), Specific lgE examinations)
  • Nasal Smear (nasal swab) (in Allergic Rhinitis)
  • Sputum examinations (for cancer and infection)
  • Chest X-rays, Computed tomography of the lungs
