  • She was “fellow”  of endocrinology and metabolic diseases at Rush-Presbyterian St.Lukes Medical Center, Rush University, Chicago-U.S.A from 1981 to 1983. 
  • She was granted the American Diabetes Association Young Investigator Research Award in 1983.
  • She was awarded the title “Associate Professor” in 1984 and “Professor” in 1990.
  • She is founding member of Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Turkey; she was board member of this society until 2003 and re-elected as board member and became Chairwoman in 2008.
  • Member of R.T. Ministry of Health Diabetes Advisory Committee, Obesity, Diabetes and Nutrition Association, Turkish Obesity Association, European Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Obesity and Nutrition Association, Endocrine Society (USA), American Diabetes Association, European Association for the Study of Diabetes, Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Ankara, The Harry-Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association and Turkish Society of Endocrinology.
