He received the TÜBITAK Incentive Award in 1984. He conducted studies on arthroscopy in Cambridge and Leeds, England in 1985. He worked as a physician for Galatasaray Sports Club between 1992-2001. He served as a physician for the National Basketball Team, Efes Pilsen and Ülker Basketball Club. He hosted the program “Athlete Health with Burhan Uslu” on Lig TV for 4 years. He wrote articles about athlete health in Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet and Sözcü newspapers. He is a member of TOTBID, TTB, and the Turkish Sports Injuries and Arthroscopy Association.
