Changing living and environmental conditions and dietary habits are increasing the incidence of allergic and immunologic diseases day by day. As the Department of Allergy and Immunology Diseases at the American Hospital, we offer diagnosis and treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract, skin and drug allergies to adult patients.

 

Respiratory diseases such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis on the skin, chronic urticaria and angioedema, allergic reactions due to medications, food and drug allergies are diagnosed in our department. A detailed history is taken from our patients who apply with these complaints and the necessary blood or skin tests are performed. Depending on the results, drug treatment or immunotherapy (vaccine treatment against allergens) may be recommended.

 

As the Department of Allergy and Immunology, we also stand out with our physical conditions and bed capacity. Our patients who receive immunotherapy treatment receive their vaccinations in a special procedure room and are kept under observation for a while. Our department doctors, who closely follow current developments in their field, fully inform our patients about all treatment methods and enable them to better understand their allergen structures.


We make a difference with the drug desensitization (measuring the immune system's response to drugs and tolerance level) we offer for allergies and immunological diseases, as well as treatment with biological agents, which are new treatment applications for asthma and urticaria patients, and immunotherapy.

In addition to skin prick tests to determine allergies, our department also provides services to relevant services regarding skin tests before local or general anesthesia.
